Story By: ASHLEY MCCUBBIN / OUTLAW MIDGETS – INNISFIL, ONT – After taking a year off with a focus on keeping everyone safe and healthy, the Outlaw Midgets Presented by Canadian Tire Innisfil are set to return to the race track in 2021 for their fourth season of competition.
As it has become accustomed with the series, they will begin their season at Sunset Speedway on May 18, with 13 events to follow across the province at four different premiere tracks – Sunset, Peterborough Speedway, Sauble Speedway, and Flamboro Speedway. The season finale will once again take place as part of the Autumn Colours Classic at Peterborough Speedway.
The schedule includes several highlights along the way, as the series will take part in several marquee events across the province. Those include both Spring and Fall Velocity at Sunset, the July long weekend with a double-header at Sauble Speedway, and Frostoberfest at Peterborough Speedway.
The series also plans to pay tribute to one of their longtime officials who passed away, with “A Tribute to Nathan Ross” set for July 31 at Peterborough.
With a steady car count throughout the season, and rookies always joining the fray, the Outlaws have developed a reputation since the inaugural campaign in 2016 for putting on some of the most thrilling events despite being known for small in size.
