Story By: ASHLEY MCCUBBIN / ACL MOTORSPORTS – INNISFIL, ONT – Despite being caught up in an early race caution at Sunset Speedway, Chris LeBarron would fight his way back for a top-10 finish on Saturday night.
The night did not start off as LeBarron would’ve hoped, getting caught up in an incident in his first opening qualifier after battling three-wide for position. He would then come back to finish third in his second heat.
Starting 10th in the feature, LeBarron would look to make his move early on the opening lap, though would unfortunately make contact with a competitor, sending them both around in turn one. Restarting from the tail of the field, he would begin to make his way forward immediately, getting around Amanda Shave for eighth on Lap 9. From there, he’d make a couple late-race passes to ultimately cross the finish line with a seventh-place finish.
LeBarron will be back at Sunset Speedway on Saturday, June 15 for the fourth night of competition this season.
